Sony Mylo for you?

When this was first announced a few months back, I couldn't wait to get one. Sony's mylo is a gadget for always-on instant messaging, web browsing, and Skype ppl. After realizing that reading web pages would be a b*tch, and that it's not everyday that I'm making a call via Skype the fever died down.

Funny thing is, Sony originally announced that this would be a US product only. Not sure if it's because of the latest troubles (laptop batteries burning, uncertainty around PS3 launch, etc), but they've now announced a mylo for Japan. Product shots are all of the English mylo, but the specs note that you will be able to input Japanese (日本語文字変換、予測変換対応).

With the ubiquity of cell phones and all of their features in Japan, I don't see this selling there. But who knows..?
